Since our founding in Osaka in 1950, we have been a part of people's lives through the manufacture of thermoses. Meeting the changing needs of the times, we continue to create innovative products such as stainless steel bottles and electric cookers. From our founding to the present day, we continue to take on new challenges every day in order to bring excitement and smiles to the dining table.
1950 ( Showa 25)
Peacock Vacuum Bottle Co., Ltd. established
Founded in 1950 (Showa 25) in Fukushima-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture under the name "Peacock Vacuum Bottle Industry Co., Ltd."
When the company was first founded, it began manufacturing thermoses for export to Southeast Asia and other regions.




1954 ( Showa 29)
Domestic sales begin under the trademark "Kujaku Brand Thermos"
Received recommendation for selection as an Osaka Prefecture industrial product by the Governor of Osaka Prefecture
Tokyo sales office opened
1955 ( Showa 30)
Launch of the long-selling product "Grand Pot," which continued to be produced until the 1980s



1957 ( Showa 32)
Established Bangkok Peacock, a joint venture in Thailand, and began manufacturing thermoses for Asia and the Middle East.
1958 ( Showa 33)
Masafumi Yamanaka appointed President and CEO



1960 ( Showa 35)



1964 ( Showa 39)
Certified as an export contributing company by the Minister of International Trade and Industry
1966 ( Showa 41)
Received an award from the Minister of International Trade and Industry as an excellent export product manufacturing factory.
1967 ( Showa 42)
Certified as an export contributing company by the Minister of International Trade and Industry
Nagoya Sales Office and Fukuoka Sales Office opened


1968 ( Showa 43)
The world's first successful development of a rotating pot
1969 ( Showa 44)
Served as the main sponsor at the start of the "Quiz Time Shock" program

Osaka sales office opened

Masafumi Yamanaka is awarded the Blue Ribbon Medal.
Lever-type air pot AR type released

New head office building completed
Push-type air pot PA model released

Cool Box IC type released
1979 ( Showa 54)
Masafumi Yamanaka is awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays, Fifth Class.

Peacock Vacuum Bottle Industry Co., Ltd.'s trading department became independent.
Peacock Co., Ltd. is established and export operations are transferred to it.
Established sales company Peacock Sales Co., Ltd.
1983 (Showa 58)
Launch of the AXS stainless steel bottle, the first to use stainless steel as the material
The birth of the "SPORTIF" series, which continues to this day


1984 (Showa 59)
Peacock Sales Co., Ltd. is dissolved and absorbed into Peacock Vacuum Bottle Co., Ltd.

Shigehiro Yamanaka appointed President and CEO

Launch of the AXC type stainless steel bottle, the industry's first colored stainless steel bottle
Switching from glass thermos to stainless steel, the new lunch jar AXL-17 is released

The first electric kettle, the WAP-2200 model, is released.
1989 (Heisei 1)
IO TU Mini Hot Plate TU-70 Type Good Design Award Winner

Electric rice cooker JTA-54 model wins Good Design Award

1996 (Heisei 8)
Stainless Steel Keeper IDS-120S/150S type won the Good Design Award
The first WMA model electric hot water heater, which can easily pour hot water with the push of a button, is released.


2000 Heisei 12
2001 (Heisei 13)
Transferring stainless steel bottle production base to China
Stainless steel air pot MHS type released
2002 (Heisei 14)
Suminoe Factory opened in Suminoe Ward, Osaka City
Started temperature inspections of products manufactured in China
2003 (Heisei 15)
The first stainless steel bottle designed specifically for keeping drinks cold, model ADA/ADB, is released.
Stainless steel bottle (straight drink type) ADA type Good Design Award winner

2005Heisei 17
Release of ADT-type straight drink bottle for cold storage
2007 (Heisei 19)
Shigehiro Yamanaka appointed Chairman and Representative Director
Yoshihiro Yamanaka appointed President and CEO
The initial model AMB stainless steel bottle (mug type) was released.
2009Heisei 21
Glazed Mug AMC Stainless Steel Bottle Wins Good Design Award
Sales to the Chinese market begin


2010Heisei 22
First electric kettle, WAK type, released
2011Heisei 23
Due to the reconstruction of the head office, the domestic production base, the Domestic Manufacturing Department and the Quality Assurance Department, were relocated to the Suminoe Factory in Suminoe Ward, Osaka City.
2012 (Heisei 24)
Established Nikko Insulated Bottle Co., Ltd. in Shanghai to strengthen sales in the China area.
2013 (Heisei 25)
New head office building completed
Launch of AMJ type stainless steel sports mug, a sports-specific bottle

2015Heisei 27
Chika Yamanaka appointed as President and Representative Director
Stainless Steel Bottle Lip Mug AAT-L Type Winner of the Good Design Award

2020 Reiwa 2
The new company philosophy is to "provide excitement through food!"
